Support & Wellbeing Advisor – 6‑Month Initial Contract

Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Agency Contract (initial 6 months)
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Support & Wellbeing Advisor to join a well‑established third‑sector organisation delivering specialist welfare and wellbeing support across the community. This role will involve providing holistic, person‑centred support to individuals facing a range of complex social, emotional and practical challenges. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, undertake assessments and triage referrals, develop tailored support plans, and work closely with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure individuals receive appropriate and timely interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Managing a diverse caseload and maintaining accurate case records
- Conducting needs assessments and creating tailored support plans
- Working collaboratively with statutory services, charities and community organisations
- Applying trauma‑informed and person‑centred approaches in all areas of practice
- Providing advocacy, signposting and practical support to service users
- Supporting service development initiatives and wellbeing projects
- Attending multi‑agency meetings and representing the service professionally
Qualifications
To be considered, applicants should have previous experience within welfare, wellbeing, social care, housing support, mental health, community outreach or related support services. Experience managing complex caseloads and working with vulnerable adults is essential.

Experience supporting members of the armed forces community, veterans or individuals connected to military services would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
