We are seeking an Installer (Improver) to join our team in the North East, covering Middlesborough to Newcastle. At KONE, an Improver is typically an entry-level or training role within the installation team.
The position involves supporting qualified installers with on-site work while learning the trade. An Improver assists with tasks such as preparing materials, handling tools and equipment, maintaining a safe and organized site, and helping with basic installation activities under supervision. The role is focused on developing technical skills, understanding KONE installation methods, and gaining experience in safety practices, quality standards, and customer interaction.
In short, it’s a stepping-stone role designed to build experience and progress toward becoming a fully qualified installer.
Qualifications
- Mechanical and Electrical Engineering experience
- A full UK drivers licence
