Job Introduction
An opportunity his available for an Operator (Stores) based in Midsomer Norton.
As an Operator (Stores) you may be involved in carrying out routine inspection, maintenance and repairof tools and PPE, assisting with the maintenance of stores and with the inspection of network assets as required. All necessary training will be provided.
To apply, you willneed to hold English & Maths GCSE (1-9/G-A*) or equivalent qualification deemed to be at the same level in these subjects, such as Functional Skills.
Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment.
Main Responsibilities
The working environment requires quick, decisive and responsible thinking and actions to meet the demands of the role. You will need to be flexible in your approach to assist the team in meeting it’s objectives.
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally you will hold a license to drive an LGV up to category C and already be trained to drive a Fork Lift Truck. You will be able to work under your own initiative, in a safety critical environment. Support will be provided to obtain any missing requirements that the successful candidate will be expected to obtain.
You will need to be mobile throughout the area and may be required to undertake out of hours standby duties as and when necessary, to meet business needs
