As our kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our care homes kitchen.

What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the chefs in the planning and provision of high‑quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents.
- Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements.
- Ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and that safe methods of work are always used.
- Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place.
- Maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements such as fridge temperature checks.
About You
- Proven experience working in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment.
- Committed to customer care and first‑class service provision.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations.
- Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents.
- Ability to multi‑task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrate our values at all times – a can‑do flexible team worker, problem fixer, passion for what they do, ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload, think out of the box, open to doing things differently.
