Creative Workshop Assistant – Freelance

A freelance Creative Workshop Assistant is needed to support a stop‑motion and claymation animation workshop for students aged 11–16 at an alternative provision school in East London. Running from Monday 20th to Friday 24th October 2025, 9:00am–2:30pm daily, the role involves assisting in planning and delivering creative sessions, supporting young people with animation projects, and helping maintain a positive, safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering creative stop‑motion and claymation sessions for students aged 11–16.
• Support young people with animation projects.
• Help maintain a positive, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Great with children and comfortable in an educational setting.
• Passionate about animation, with an active interest in creative media.
• Confident, creative, organized, and a strong team player.
• Clear communicator with good intuition and a positive attitude.
• Holds an enhanced and up-to-date DBS certificate.
• Experience supporting or delivering Arts Award (Bronze Level).
• Hands‑on experience with animation production.
• Familiarity with video editing tools and workflows.

Salary: £30k–£40k per annum (pro rata).
