Are you a nurturing individual looking to support pupils to reach their full potential? TimePlan are looking for a Special Educational Needs teaching assistant! As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for those with experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant wanting to progress in their career and build strong relationships with their students, making a positive impact on their lives.
Ideal candidate will demonstrate
- Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, working closely with children with additional needs.
- Be willing and able to assist students in their own Personal Care plan.
- Understand special educational needs as defined in the SEN Code of Practice.
- Be able to assist in the personal, emotional, and social development of students.
- Have a caring nature and passion for their job.
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or similar) is advantageous but not essential.
