Overview
Baxter Thetford are looking for a Process Operator within the tank room department. This role is on rotating shifts, Monday to Sunday between 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00, totaling 42 hours per week. The schedule could be 3 days on, 4 off or 2 nights on, 3 off, depending on the shift pattern. A weekly shift allowance of £109.86 is provided. When interviewing, candidates will be considered for all areas to align with skills.
Responsibilities
- Follow EHS/GMP/GDP/company and external regulatory requirements.
- Operate within Baxter documentation procedures (BaxU) and requirements, meeting safety, quality and performance guidelines; ensure batch paperwork is completed timely and accurately.
- Identify quality defects and reject them. Escalate issues to the team leader; may be involved in rectifying issues with support.
- Maintain optimum line performance throughout the shift by adjusting the machine within validated parameters.
- Perform daily and weekly cleaning of the equipment and the area.
- Be actively involved in improvement programs, demonstrating a willingness to embrace new ways of working.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of working in a GMP environment (pharma, food, FMCG).
- Quality focused with the ability to manage routine, repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team working—able to collaborate, share workload, and support problem solving to achieve targets.
- Maintains high standards of behaviour while managing workload.
- Process-oriented—follows set standards and ways of working.
- Flexible—able to perform varied tasks at short notice, adjust break timings around production, work additional hours as required.
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctuality and good attendance.
- Good standard of English comprehension; able to understand, speak, read and write in English.
- Well organized and task-driven.
- Experience using forklift trucks would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience setting up and changing over machines would be advantageous but not essential.
