Quantum Scholars are acting on behalf of an “Outstanding” secondary school in South West London that is seeking to appoint an inspiring and passionate Teacher of Religious Education to join their successful team from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic RE teacher who is confident delivering engaging and thought‑provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will play an important role in inspiring students to explore different beliefs, values, and ethical perspectives within a dynamic and supportive department.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Religious Education across KS3 and KS4
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for RE
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Be dedicated to supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Have the ability to contribute positively to the wider school community

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated RE lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support students’ academic and personal development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards across the department
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities where appropriate
  • Uphold the school’s values, policies, and commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
