Sen Teacher

Overview

EmpowerED are working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Reading to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-resourced, supportive provision supporting pupils with autism, complex needs and communication difficulties, many of whom are non-verbal and require a highly structured, nurturing approach.

About the Role

• Teaching a small class of pupils with EHCPs and complex needs
• Delivering highly personalised, sensory-based learning
• Supporting pupils with autism, communication difficulties and behaviours linked to low engagement
• Working closely with a strong team of LSAs and therapists
• Creating a calm, structured and engaging classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or QTLS
• Has experience within SEN or specialist settings
• Confident supporting pupils with ASD and complex needs
• Brings a calm, patient and proactive approach
• Able to lead a classroom team and model best practice
