Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Starting Salary: £38,220, with potential to progress to £41,771 per annum (pro rata for part time) + £1,000 welcome payment, lease car & relocation – terms apply.
Hours: 37 hours per week.
Location: Hertfordshire.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Directorate: Adult Care Services.
About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist in Adult Care Services, you will hold your own caseload and work in partnership with people living in the community across Hertfordshire. You will undertake a holistic assessment of need to identify person‑centred outcomes. We work in an enabling way with people and their families and carers, to promote independence and participation, through meaningful occupation and a strengths‑based approach. Across all our services we aim to ensure that people are provided with the right support and advice, and at the right time. Our Adult Care Services Connected Lives practice principles are very much aligned to core occupational therapy values, with the ultimate aim of connecting people to the life that they want to live. We work collaboratively alongside social care colleagues, as well as with our health partners, housing and care providers, and a range of community support services. The role will also include an opportunity to mentor and develop others.
About You
- Occupational Therapy Degree
- Current registration with the HCPC
- Practice consistent with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists’ professional standards, conduct and ethics, and the HCPC Standards of Proficiency for Occupational Therapy
- Knowledge and experience of relevant social care legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Confident team member with good decision‑making skills
- Ability to work successfully with partners and other agencies
- Full UK driving licence and regular access to a vehicle for work purposes
