Barnet Council is seeking a dedicated and skilled Social Worker to join its Intervention & Care Planning Team on a locum basis, offering a competitive rate of 38.50 per hour.

About the Team
The Intervention & Care Planning Team works with children and families where longer-term intervention is required, undertaking assessments, care planning, child protection work, court proceedings and permanence planning.
Youll hold manageable caseloads and work within a supportive team environment led by experienced managers committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing complex child protection and child in need cases
- Completing assessments, care plans and statutory visits
- Working with children subject to Child Protection Plans and Public Law Outline processes
- Undertaking court work and care proceedings where required
- Building strong relationships with children, families and partner agencies
- Delivering high-quality, child-focused social work practice
What Were Looking For
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience in Childrens Services
- Strong experience within Child Protection, Court Work and Care Planning
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload
- Excellent assessment, analytical and report-writing skills
- Ofsted-Rated Childrens Services
