Hours: Zero contracted hours (Mon-Sun, including weekends, days, evenings, holidays, sleep in’s and Waking-nights)
Salary: £16.59 per hour inclusive of holiday pay or £14.80 per hour exclusive of holiday pay

Advance is looking for Casual Support Workers in Newham, E13 to support customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and mental health conditions to live the lives they choose. You must have a full UK driving license as this customer has their own vehicle to access the community.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
- Medication administration (if required)
- Support with preparing and cooking meals
- Support with attending medical appointments
- Support with social activities
- Support with independent skills
- Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
- Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
- Keeping up to date with training
- Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night
- Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
- Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety
About The Candidate
Ideally, you’ll have experience supporting adults with autism. However, if you’re new to care, what matters most are your values—your passion, empathy, and determination to make a positive difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities.
If you think a Casual Support Worker role sounds right for you, you will need to be:
- Good at working on your own and within a team
- Excellent at communicating with people
- Able to complete quality support records
- Able to work bank holidays and possible Waking-night shifts
- Able to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records
- Literate and numerate in English
- Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate
