PSHE Teacher – SEMH Secondary & College Provision

Are you a passionate and resilient PSHE Teacher looking to make a genuine difference within a specialist SEMH setting? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated teacher to join a supportive Secondary and College provision in Enfield, working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, ADHD, and additional learning difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a highly supportive specialist environment where staff are committed to helping young people develop emotionally, socially, and academically.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging PSHE lessons tailored to students’ individual needs and EHCP targets
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, and associated behavioural challenges
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, positive relationships, and life skills
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, parents, and external professionals
  • Monitor student progress and adapt strategies to support engagement and achievement
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

We’re looking for someone who

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has experience working within SEMH, SEN, or alternative provision settings
  • Can confidently manage behaviour using trauma‑informed and restorative approaches
  • Is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to achieve positive outcomes
  • Has strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Holds or is willing to attain an enhanced DBS
