Class Teacher – Islington – September 2026

Class Teacher required for a diverse, inclusive and community-focused primary school in Islington, North London, serving pupils across the primary age range.

Role starting September 2026, paid at £190-£250 per day, with the security of a long-term career move in Islington.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse pupil intake, including children with English as an additional language, SEND and a range of social, emotional and academic needs.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons, monitor progress carefully and maintain high expectations across your class.
• Create a positive, purposeful classroom environment where pupils feel safe, supported and motivated to achieve.
• Adapt lessons, use assessment effectively and work closely with support staff to ensure all pupils can access learning.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS.
• Strong curriculum knowledge.
• Strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Previous primary teaching experience (essential).
• Experience supporting EAL, SEND or pupils with additional needs (highly valuable).
