Agricultural Machinery/HGV Technician St. Neots Service & Support

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural/HGV Technician to join our team, responsible for the maintenance and repair of Mercedes-Benz Unimogs and Agricultural vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, with experience in various technical tasks related to vehicle upkeep. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of delivering high‑quality service to our customers.

Duties

• Perform diagnostics, service and repairs on agricultural equipment, in‑house and on site
• Perform pre‑delivery set up on new and used equipment
• Complete job‑related administration and reports (job cards, time sheets, etc.)
• Maintain a tidy and organised workstation
• Carry out vehicle diagnostics
• Attend in‑house and external training (German/Italian sites, passport required)
• Demonstrate good health & safety awareness

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands‑on experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
• Ability to diagnose problems using schematics and technical manuals.
• Confidence in the use of IT.
• Experience in equipment repair with a focus on HGVs and/or Mercedes Benz Unimogs highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive client relationships.
• Positive “can do” attitude and conscientious nature with an attention to detail.
• Must be able to drive; HGV license desirable but not essential.

Job Types: Full‑time, Permanent

Expected Hours: 40 per week
