Supervisory Assistant (Dinning room)

Ferryhill Primary School

Salary: £26,205-£26,525 per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time and sessional). Hours: 7.5 per week, 38 weeks sessional.

Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 9.00 am.

Ferryhill Primary School is a two‑stream school serving an area of SIMD 1-4.

You will support the operation of the Breakfast Club with regards to the supervision, care and welfare needs of the pupils who attend. You will be required to establish an environment with organised activities and encourage the involvement of all pupils who attend. This may include the use of play and craft activities. You will work as part of a motivated and enthusiastic team in delivering a quality Breakfast Club service.

You will follow procedures in compliance with Health & Safety actions required to safely run a Breakfast Club. You will operate in compliance with Data Protection and support the secure running of the Breakfast Club. Generally, you will be expected to support any other ad‑hoc requests made by the School Management Team in terms of the operational running of the Breakfast Club, including basic administrative assistance.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
