Swimming Teacher and Pool Attendant (Dual Role)

The post holder will deliver high‑quality swimming lessons that inspire confidence and foster skill development in swimmers of all ages and abilities in line with the STA pathway. The role also includes responsibilities as a pool attendant.

The role is subject to an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Safety award for teachers or NPLQ qualification
• STA level 2 award qualification or ASA equivalent
• Current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification
• All external candidates must provide a copy of their current, in‑date NPLQ certificate
• External candidates not currently employed by Active Tameside must undertake a competency assessment
