Full-Time Autism Support Worker

Are you the calm in the chaos, the cheerleader in the classroom, and the smile that makes a difference? We’re on the lookout for a kind‑hearted, can‑do support worker to join a fantastic special needs primary school in Whetstone.

You will work full‑time, supporting children with autism to thrive in a warm, inclusive environment where every small win is a big deal.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism.
  • Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to create a safe, structured, and joyful learning environment.
  • Helping children develop communication, social and emotional skills — and celebrating every step they take.
  • Bringing positivity, patience and practical strategies to your role every single day.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, especially autism (school‑based experience is a plus).
  • A nurturing, flexible approach and a genuine belief in every child’s potential.
  • A great communicator who works well with pupils, staff, and parents alike.
  • Someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and make a difference — rain or shine.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
