Overview
Independent Living Support Worker – Children’s Services, Supported Accommodation (Permanent, Part-time 18.5 hours per week). Salary £26,824 to £28,142 pro rata per annum, plus enhancements for weekends, bank holidays, and sleep‑ins. Grade E. Based in Kings Lynn.
Responsibilities
- Support young people in the independent living scheme, assisting them in developing positive and effective independent living skills.
- Contribute to the creation of support plans and assist with their implementation, including attending statutory reviews as required.
- Act as a positive role model and build effective relationships with young people and their families to meet their emotional and physical needs and maximise development opportunities.
- Plan, prioritise and manage workload efficiently.
- Work evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep‑ins as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Level 3 Children’s Workforce Diploma (fully funded).
- Relevant support work experience with young people.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to engage with young people.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- No sponsorship available for this role.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep‑ins.
