MFL Teacher Harrogate

About the role:

justteachers is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher for a thriving secondary school in Harrogate. This full‑time position is to begin September on a long term supply basisand offers an excellent opportunity for an inspiring linguist to join a supportive department. Experience teaching French and Spanish to GCSE level is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective French and Spanish lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils
• Plan and prepare lessons that support student progress and achievement
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
• Assess, track, and report on student progress
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
• Support students in developing confidence and passion for languages

Pre‑requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge in French and/or Spanish
• Previous experience teaching MFL at KS3 and KS4 level
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A commitment to supporting students’ learning and progress
• Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive teaching approach
