EHS Advisor

South Wales Projects

Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE + Benefits Package

We are working in partnership with a leading international engineering and construction specialist to recruit an experienced EHS Advisor to support a strong pipeline of projects across South Wales. Our client delivers high-quality design and build solutions across a range of sectors including Food, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, Data Centres, and Advanced Manufacturing. With a reputation for excellence, safety, and innovation, they continue to play a key role in delivering complex projects across the UK and Europe

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of health and safety policies across live construction sites
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and company standards
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and reporting, providing feedback to senior project stakeholders
  • Track and ensure close-out of actions identified in safety reports within agreed timescales
  • Support and guide site teams, promoting a strong safety culture across all levels
  • Assist with accident investigations and ensure timely and thorough reporting
  • Oversee site inductions for operatives and subcontractors
  • Ensure welfare facilities, site setups, and statutory notices meet required standards
  • Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Monitor permits to work and safe handling/storage of COSHH materials

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience working within a construction environment in an EHS-focused role
  • Relevant EHS qualification (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of current health and safety legislation
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Well-organised with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments
