Biology Technician, Graveney School (Maternity Cover)
£27,224 – £28,419 per annum – GPS4 (Spine Point 7-10)
36 hours per week
Term time only (39 weeks)
To start September 2026
We would like to appoint a Biology graduate to join our small team of experienced technicians. The successful candidate will require an excellent understanding of Science up to A‑Level. Experience of working in a school laboratory or similar environment would be desirable.
Applicants will have:
- Ability to work methodically, paying particular attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills to relate effectively to teaching staff and students
- Ability to support students and teachers in the preparation of practicals for Biology
- Written communication and numeracy skills
- Good ICT skills and willingness to learn new packages
- Appreciation of the routines required for laboratory preparation and adherence to good practice
- Able to work effectively as part of a team with a flexible approach to work
- Horticultural interest or experience would be an advantage
This is an event linked maternity cover position starting at the beginning of September 2026.
