Unit Catering Supervisor (Grade 3)
Salary £25,949 – (Pay Award Pending) per annum (pro rata) | 25 hours per week | Permanent, Variable Hours | Quernmore Primary School | Lancaster
The role is part of Lancashire County Council’s catering service, which provides meals to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving more than 60,000 school meals per day. You will work as part of a team in Quernmore Primary School, providing high‑quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook and serve food and drinks in accordance with agreed menus and production plans.
- Direct and/or supervise other employees.
- Order supplies and manage store deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records and control stock levels.
What We Are Looking For
- Recognised catering qualification and/or food hygiene certificate (desirable).
- Experience catering for large numbers of students (desirable).
Working Hours/Days
- Monday to Friday, term time only.
- 25 hours per week, hours may vary depending on school meal uptake.
The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful, you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a ‘disclosure’.
