Engine Builder
Pay: £17 per hour Paye
Shifts: Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm. Friday 7am – 1pm
Overtime available
6 month initial Contract
We are currently recruiting Engine Builders to support rail industry operations based in Burton‑upon‑Trent. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high‑quality engineering environment, carrying out the rebuild and assembly of rail engine components, while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. This is a hands‑on role and involves the reassembly and rebuilding of diesel engines, supporting the production of Cummins and MTU diesel engines to rail industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Stripping and rebuilding mechanical engines in line with work instructions
- Working accurately to OEM manuals and technical documentation
- Reading and interpreting engine assembly specifications to plan and complete build activities
- Verifying part conformity against stock lists using measuring equipment such as callipers, gauges, and micrometres
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a similar role, building engines for different sectors such as automotive or industrial
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when required
