Despatch Operative – Full Time – Stephens Bakery
Hours: 39 hours per week (5 days over 7) Shift Times: 8.00pm to 12am until 4:30am to 8:30am (Depending on Rota) Starting Pay: £14.65 per hour increasing to £15.16 after probation period

About the Role
As a Despatch Operative, you will assist in the fulfilment of orders of our award‑winning products, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, output, quality, hygiene and health & safety. What You’ll Do
- Packing and picking savoury products and bread rolls.
- Inspecting products to ensure high quality and legal compliance.
- Reading order lists and counting products.
- Carrying out cleaning duties in the Bakery and packaging area ensuring a high standard of hygiene/sanitation.
- Lifting and bending, placing and stacking completed products in the correct area for delivery drivers.

- Bakery experience is a bonus, but not essential as full training is provided
- This is a physically demanding role, so you’ll need to be comfortable with standing for long periods, manual handling, and working at a fast pace throughout your shift
