The post-holder will be involved in the planning, delivery and assessment of apprentices studying for Brick and Maintenance standards. This will involve supporting the learners in achieving their academic goals and career progression by delivering high quality lessons, and ensuring high student attendance and satisfaction. The post-holder’s existing excellent skills will be enhanced by the College’s continuous professional development programme.
Main Duties
- Comply with all college quality assurance procedures as prescribed by the Director of Apprenticeships, to ensure the achievement of all internal and external audits.
- Use appropriate resources effectively to ensure the learners’ experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.
- Take overall responsibility for the health and safety of students within the teaching area, and conduct relevant risk assessments where appropriate.
- Prepare suitable teaching, learning and assessment materials for a range of courses/classes, and make use of a variety of appropriate learning and teaching methods.
- Have an up-to-date syllabus and scheme of work (showing methods of delivery and embedded cross-cutting themes) for each course/class taught.
