Laser / Waterjet Machine Operator
Location: Blackburn (BB1)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Laser / Waterjet Machine Operator to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Blackburn.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in profile cutting who is looking for a stable, long-term position within a busy production environment.
The Role
- Operate laser and/or waterjet cutting machines
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Monitor machine performance and ensure quality standards are met
- Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
- Carry out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Work to production targets while maintaining accuracy and quality
About You
- Previous experience operating laser or waterjet machinery
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Good understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing environment
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
Desirable Skills
- Experience with CNC-controlled cutting machines
- Basic setting or programming knowledge
- Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
