We are seeking to appoint a Planning Assistant to join our busy Planning team. You will be joining a friendly and welcoming team who will work together to deliver the best planning outcomes for our customers. The role will offer you the opportunity of gaining experience of dealing with a varied Planning caseload and developing your Planning knowledge. This will include dealing with planning enquiries and applications for minor developments, with an emphasis on householder development.
To be considered for the role you must have a recognised qualification in Planning or a related subject. Whilst previous Planning experience would be advantageous, this post will also suitable for new graduates or those working towards a Planning qualification.
You will be expected to demonstrate your ability to use judgment and initiative, to work as part of a team is essentially to problem solve and to effectively manage your caseload. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
This role allows for a combination of home and office working. You will also be required to undertake site visits. Attendance at team‑meetings would normally be expected to be in person. Whilst significant use is made of Zoom and Microsoft Teams, there will also be a requirement to attend in‑person meetings.
