Grade: F
Salary: £39,152 – £41,771 per annum (rising by annual increments to £41,771) + 10% trainer allowance, rising to 15% after 1 year.
Hours: 37 hours per week (2 x Full Time vacancies)

Location: West Moors Training Centre; Devizes Training Centre

Responsibilities
- Provide driver training to staff in all driving disciplines including both novice and experienced drivers as detailed in the driver training policy and to meet legislative needs.
- Be responsible for the safety and conduct of students and resources undertaking training and assessment, e.g. daily vehicle checks and records, and cleaning of training vehicles and resources.
- Seek opportunities to improve delivery methods and to optimise the student learning experience to ensure that time is used effectively and learning is understood and applied in a working environment.
Qualifications
- 4 GCSE passes – Grade A*-C / 9-4, including English and Mathematics or equivalent Level 2 qualification, or higher-level relevant qualification.
- Experience of delivering and designing training packages.
- Ability to work using own initiative with good organisational and time management skills and as part of a team.
Other Information
- You must have a full current category C driving licence (held for a minimum of 3 years).
- Use of own vehicle will be required when a Service vehicle is not available. Most Service vehicles are manual transmission only.
- The role has a significant travel requirement across Dorset and Wiltshire.
- The role involves some evening and weekend working.
- Standard Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS) clearance will be undertaken before offer of employment.
- Offer of employment subject to full pre-employment checks including identity checks, right to work in the UK, medical, satisfactory references, verification of employment history and explanation of any gaps in last 3 years.
- Upon appointment you will be required to adhere to the Health Surveillance Programme and attend an Occupational health appointment for baseline readings.
- Trainer allowance, 10% of salary rising to 15% after 1 year (pensionable allowance).
