Commis Chef – Hinckley – Term time only

We are recruiting for a Commis Chef to join a prestigious independent school based in Hinckley, you will be working term time only for a leading Contract Catering company within the Education Sector of the Catering Industry.

Key Information

• Salary: £14.00 per hour
• Hours: Mon – Fri, Term time only
• Location: Hinckley
• Contract: Temporary

Key Responsibilities of the role include

• Provide a friendly catering service, performing a variety of manual tasks associated with food production and service in the school
• Helping chef to cut and prepare food
• Help with preparation of food items and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen
• Work alongside the kitchen team

Required skills include

• A basic understanding of produce and ingredients
• Embrace new ideas and processes
• Positive and approachable manner

In order to be successful, you’ll need to have

• Experience working in a similar environment / role
• Ability to follow instructions
• High Standards of hygiene
• Enhanced DBS
