Salary

*: £16.85 per hour (based on 40 hours per week), equating to an annual salary of £35,048. This role is eligible for overtime and additional hours where required + 35p per mile car allowance + a 10% SMART objectives bonus

Team Members under 21 will be paid at £1.00 per hour less, which is significantly above National Minimum Wage guidelines for this age group

A Little About the Role

This is a fundamental role within Jasmine, ensuring our homes remain safe, compliant, energy‑efficient and, most importantly, homely for our residents. The role combines practical refurbishment and maintenance expertise with project coordination, budgeting, reporting and communication. You will support six homes regionally, managing multiple refurbishment projects while helping to control costs and maintain high standards.

You will be responsible for delivering defined objectives linked to audits, budget performance, maintenance team stability and compliance action plans. Performance against these objectives contributes directly to your quarterly bonus.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Assist/Manage refurbishment projects from planning through to completion
  • Liaise with Home Managers and Maintenance Teams to identify improvement works
  • Coordinate materials, contractors and internal labour
  • Assist/Monitor and control refurbishment budgets using Excel trackers
  • Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership
  • Support completion of audit action plans within required timeframes
  • Assist with day‑to‑day maintenance where appropriate
  • Reduce maintenance and refurbishment costs by maximising in‑house capability
  • Support energy efficiency improvements across homes
  • Line manage and support central maintenance team members where required
  • Conduct one‑to‑ones and support performance management
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety, Fire and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Holiday cover for Maintenance Personnel for a minimum of three person‑days per week at their home. This will include covering out‑of‑hours calls during this period.
  • Hub cover for the Maintenance and Refurbishment Coordinator during holidays, including monitoring maintenance emails and calls, and updating the Maintenance Dashboard.
  • On‑call weekend cover on an alternate‑week basis (telephone cover for external trade authorisations).

Essential Requirements

  • I will have strong general maintenance knowledge
  • I will have experience managing refurbishment projects from start to finish
  • I will have the ability to deliver refurbishment works to a high standard
  • I will have sound Excel and general IT skills (budget tracking and record keeping)
  • I will have a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • I will have the ability to manage budgets and monitor expenditure
  • I will be happy to work away from home, if and when required
  • I will live within 60 minutes’ drive of the Jasmine Support Hub per google maps

Preferred Requirements

  • I will have experience within property, facilities or care environments
  • I will have experience managing or supporting maintenance teams
