We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Pre-Registration Radiographers to join us as Bank Radiographic Assistant Practitioners. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience, build confidence within a supportive environment. Main duties of the job
As a Radiographic Assistant Practitioner, you will work alongside experienced Radiographers and multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of a high-quality imaging service. You will play an important role in patient care, department workflow, and imaging support duties while developing your professional skills in a busy clinical environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assisting Radiographers with basic imaging and patient care
- Preparing patients and clinical areas for procedures
- Supporting departmental flow and patient coordination
- Maintaining high standards of safety, dignity, and confidentiality
- Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
- Ensuring all data is accurately entered into the RIS System

- 3rd year Diagnostic Radiography students
- Students with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented individuals

Qualifications
- Assistant Practitioner in radiography foundation degree or equivalent, or qualifying from a UK HEI with a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography this academic year
Knowledge and experience
- Experience of general and trauma plain film imaging
- Experience of mobile, theatre and screening work
- H&S regulation relating to radiation protection (including IRMER regulations)
- Computer skills for patient data and image manipulation
- Manual handling and basic resuscitation
- Understanding of departmental protocols
Skills and abilities
- Good interpersonal skills
- Image quality assessment skills
- Ability to prioritise workflow through x-ray room according to clinical needs of patient
- Enthusiasm and commitment to working within the healthcare setting
- Ability to work on your own, using your own initiative if required
- Flexible and adaptable to change
