Salary: Band 4 Scale Point 6 £25,989.00 (FTE) – Paid pro rata: £20,849

Contract: Fixed term to 31 August 2027, 35 hours per week, Term Time only
About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic teaching assistant who will join our team of highly motivated teachers, support staff, and leaders who care about our children’s academic and pastoral development.
You will work under the instruction and guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils, and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
You will also be required to assist the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. Staff may also supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers. The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task.
Qualifications and Requirements
Enhanced DBS checks are mandatory for all school staff. The position is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of pre‑employment checks. An online search will be completed for all shortlisted candidates.
