Welder / Fabricator 13-Week Contract | Potential Permanent Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join a busy engineering workshop specialising in heavy‑duty fabrication work. This is a hands‑on, workshop‑based role working from engineering drawings to fabricate and assemble high‑quality steel components.

Responsibilities

• Monday to Thursday
• 7:00am – 5:30pm
• 40 hours per week
• MIG weld heavy gauge mild steel and Hardox wear plate
• Fabricate and assemble mixer components and structural sections
• Read and work accurately from engineering drawings
• Grind, cut, fit, and finish fabricated steel components
• Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets required standards

Requirements

• Proven MIG welding and fabrication experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working with heavy gauge steel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good understanding of workshop health and safety
• Reliable, hardworking, and punctual attitude
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced workshop environment
