Student Experience Team Member

Durham – Full‑time. Includes weekend, early and late shifts and occasional lone working.

About the Role

We’re looking for reliable, enthusiastic individuals to support our busy student accommodation sites during key check‑in periods. It’s a front‑facing role where you’ll be one of the first points of contact for students, helping create a welcoming, positive, and seamless move‑in experience during high‑energy peak periods. This role may require you to work across two additional sites in Durham.

Shift Patterns

• Early shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
• Late shift: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm

What You’ll Be Doing

• Welcoming students and creating a friendly first impression
• Supporting student check‑ins and handling general enquiries
• Managing post and deliveries
• Assisting with student events and community activities
• Carrying out room checks and inspections
• Supporting students with fire alarm procedures and lockouts
• Assisting the wider team with day‑to‑day operational tasks
• Working independently at times, including lone working during quieter periods or across different sites
• Getting involved wherever needed to ensure the site runs smoothly during busy periods
• Assisting with light cleaning tasks such as hoovering in the reception area

• Confident working both as part of a team and independently, including lone working when required
• Happy to be on your feet for most of the day
• Physically fit and willing to assist with luggage when needed
• Flexible and available to work weekends
