Capital, Impairments & Forecasting Team
This team sits between Borrowing and Finance, managing IFRS 9 ECL, credit‑risk capital and ICAAP models. We collaborate with credit teams, portfolio strategy, model validation, finance and external audit to protect and grow the portfolio.
Tools and Technologies
- Google Cloud Platform – analytics infrastructure
- dbt and BigQuery SQL – data modelling and warehousing
- Python – data science and predictive modelling, model implementation
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain IFRS 9 models (PD, EAD, LGD)
- Create post‑model adjustments and overlays as needed
- Implement new models and enhance economic‑response models for scenario simulation and impairment
- Improve model monitoring and month‑end ECL reporting and analytics
- Present results to 1LOD and 2LOD risk forums and committees
- Work closely with portfolio strategy, model validation, finance and external audit teams

You Should Apply If
- Background in IFRS 9 impairments
- End‑to‑end experience developing and implementing credit models (PD, LGD, EAD)
- Experience monitoring ECLs and conducting driver analyses
- Strong analytical skills and a history of delivering technical projects
- SQL plus Python or R, with visualisation skills a plus
- Clear communication of complex issues to non‑experts
- Impact‑driven and eager to make a positive contribution
- Self‑starter who identifies issues proactively
- Team player who can be relied on by colleagues

- Technical IFRS 9 interview
- Values and collaboration behavioural interview
- A live case‑study problem‑solving interview
