Service Controller/Coordinator
Location: Heathrow
Salary: £35-40k
Responsibilities
- Coordinate equipment from all departments and ensure all items are checked out onto the correct job before loading.
- Provide strong customer service, support and account management for major customers at airports.
- Liaise with the Equipment Departments, Account Management team and end customers to ensure all requests and requirements are facilitated in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure vehicles are loaded completely, safely and securely, maximising loading bay availability and avoiding customer complaints.
- Collaborate with the Equipment Control Manager and Shift Leaders to understand current workflow, work priority and dispatch deadlines.
- Verify that sub hires are properly checked, accounted for and scanned onto the correct job.
- Maintain strong attention to detail, inspecting equipment thoroughly and checking it out following correct procedures.
- Guarantee all items leaving the premises are scanned to the correct job number.
- When a job or job part is cancelled, return equipment to the relevant department and notify the appropriate parties, ensuring it is placed back correctly.
Qualifications
- IT literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn and use a stock control inventory system.
- Competent communication with internal and external clients, receiving instructions and providing advice.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build working relationships with colleagues.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
- Self‑motivated and organised, able to plan workload and manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Experience with stock control systems is an advantage.
