We’res supporting a 12-month maternity cover within a busy payroll team, with full-time hours and hybrid working. A great opportunity to step into a varied, hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, with a salary of up to £30,000.
Main Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing across multiple contracts within deadlines
- Process starters, leavers, and associated payments
- Calculate statutory and occupational leave/pay
- Ensure accurate application of pay agreements and annual increases (incl. back pay)
- Handle payroll queries in a timely, professional manner
- Produce and analyse payroll reports
- Liaise with internal teams to meet deadlines
- Maintain accurate records and compliance with payroll policies
- Support payroll audits and pre-sign-off checks
- Keep up to date with payroll, pension, and HMRC legislation
Experience & Qualifications
- Payroll experience in a multi-site, multi-contract environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC reporting
- Good Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate Excel
- CIPP qualification (desirable, not essential)
