Job Summary
We are looking for a Band 4 CPA Coordinator / Ward Clerk to support the team in providing professional secretarial and administrative services, lead within the admin team for Data Quality, and administer Care Programme Approach meetings. The role involves general ward clerk duties, working closely with the Team Leader and Consultants. Excellent IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of professionals are essential.
Main duties of the job
Based at Seward Lodge, an assessment and treatment unit for older people with dementia, the successful candidate will:
- Take the lead in administering Care Programme Approach meetings
- Carry out general ward clerk duties
- Use initiative and work under both direct and indirect supervision
- Apply your knowledge of health and safety and digest requirements of the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework
- Co‑ordinate appointments, diary management, transcribe formal minutes of meetings, and supervise and train others
- Adapt to change and manage workload in a changing environment
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- RSA III/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Trained in intermediate level software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Advanced keyboard skills
- Good working knowledge of email and internet
- ECDL qualification or equivalent
- Proficient diary management
- Experience transcribing formal minutes of meetings
- Experience supervising and training others
- Ability to organise and plan complex events and prioritise workload
Desirable
- Proficient knowledge of PARIS
- Advanced secretarial skills such as audio and shorthand
- Experience in a mental health environment or NHS
