JOBTITLE:Car Park Development Officer
REPORTING TO:Car Park Manager
HOURS OF WORK:37.5 hours per week
Monday Friday, 9.00 a.m. 5.00 p.m.
JOB PURPOSE
The Car Parks Development Officer will work closely with the Car Parks Manager on delivery of new projects and initiatives to develop and optimise the car parks operation at Belfast International Airport. The role involves undertaking analysis and producing reports to inform decision-making and ensuring the on-time and successful delivery of projects.
The Development Officer will also contribute to the efficient running of the Car Parks operation, by maintaining accurate records, undertaking risk assessments, producing resilience plans and enhancing the teams capabilities.
As part of the Commercial team at Belfast International Airport, the Development Officer will also work cross-functionally to drive overall performance and will gain experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
KEYDUTIES:
1.Ensure safe and efficient traffic flow across the airport site, identifying areas for improvement and implementing methods to improve congestion, safety, and overall operational effectiveness.
2.Trial and test new methods and processes to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
3.Support with budgeting for car park operations, including forecasting maintenance costs, project works, and revenue planning.
4.Contribute to the successful planning, coordination, and execution of projects to support departmental goals.
5.Manage procurement activities within the operating budget, ensuring all orders are placed on time and in line with procurement policies.
6.Maintain staff training records, ensuring all staff remain compliant with health and safety materials, cyber security, operators licence compliance etc.
7.Carry out risk assessments for new activities and ensure safe working procedures are implemented.
8.Participate in safety committees and contribute to ongoing improvement of the airports safety culture.
9.Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and implementing corrective actions.
10.Maintain our annual parking database, ensuring all users receive timely updates for their renewals and addressing user queries as needed.
11.Maintain the airport website with all up-to-date information, collaborate with chat bot updates and automation of contact methods to ensure a seamless customers process.
12.Deliver internal training sessions related to parking processes and system updates.
13.Responding promptly and professionally to customer queries/complaints, ensuring resolution in line with company policies and service standards.
14.Enhance and develop departmental resilience plans, safeguarding the operation during periods of disruption and working closely with other airport departments to support resilience across the airport site.
15.Oversee the day-to-day operations of all staff car parks, including access roads, parking areas, and controlled zones.
16.Ensure accurate allocation of staff parking spaces across departments, airlines, concessions, contractors, and third-party partners.
17.Manage databases and records for extended staff parking stays, ensuring accurate tracking and providing support with the enforcement of policies and penalties for individuals in breach of staff parking regulations.
18.Respond/assist appropriately to any emergency appropriately, and participate in any Emergency Exercise, as detailed in the Emergency Orders within the aerodrome manual.
19.Uphold the companys information security policies and procedures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data. Any intellectual property created in the course of employment shall remain the property of the company.

Essential Criteria:
- Degree in a Business discipline or equivalent OR at least 3 years experience in a commercial role
- 3 years in a commercial role (with responsibility of managing marketing activity on products/services)
- Effective people management and development
- Successful implementation and management of processes and procedures
- Influencing and interacting at different business levels
- Negotiation, preparation and management of contractual agreements
- Monitoring progress and performance in line with Service Level Agreements
- Microsoft Office: word, excel PowerPoint
