Science Teacher – Southend, Wickford, Billericay & Chelmsford
Full‑Time | Qualified Teachers Only (QTS Required) – Start dates: Easter 2026 or September 2026.
The Role
- Deliver high‑quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan, prepare and assess in line with curriculum requirements.
- Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students’ academic progress and personal development.
- Contribute to departmental planning and the wider school community.
- Both specialist (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and general Science teachers are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – FQT only.
- Strong curriculum and subject knowledge in Science.
- Proven experience teaching KS3–KS4.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management.
- A commitment to raising standards and supporting student outcomes.
- ECTs will be considered for these roles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
