Loading Shovel Driver & Multiskilled Operator – Temp to perm role
A current valid Loading Shovel License from NPORS, RTTIB or ITSAR. We cannot accept just a CPC card.
Pay rate: £14.00 per hour, weekly pay in arrears, every Friday
Job location: Coventry, CV6 area
Shift Pattern : Monday to Friday
5am – 3pm & 2pm – 12 noon – working on one shift only (confirmed on interview)
Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a Loading Shovel Driver & Multiskilled Operator to join our successful client based in the Coventry, CV6 area.
Duties & Responsibilities
The role involves operating loading shovels to perform various tasks including tipping and loading of vehicles outside in varying weather conditions. Drive loading shovels to transport materials within the facility and ensure health and safety standards are met.
- Loading outgoing vehicles and separating waste
- Transporting material, feeding lines and hoppers with material for process
- Supporting general yard operations and cooperate with site management as required
- Communicate intentions to weighbridge via two‑way radio
- Operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently
- Load and move waste and recyclable materials within the site
Person Specification
- Valid FLT & Loading Shovel licence
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
