About the Opportunity
We are supporting the delivery of a major building and infrastructure project in North London and are seeking an experienced MEP Chief Mechanical to join the team. This is a large-scale, technically complex development currently in delivery phase, offering the opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile scheme.
The role sits within a global construction company with an estimate of the project outlining responsibilities such as overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, coordinating with the design and construction teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, managing the installation schedule, monitoring the system performance, and troubleshooting any mechanical issues that arise during construction and commissioning.
Key qualifications for the role include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, a minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering within large-scale infrastructure or construction projects, strong knowledge of MEP systems design, installation, inspection, and commissioning, proven experience in leading a mechanical engineering team, excellent communication and coordination skills, a strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality management practices, and experience with project management tools and software. The candidate must also bring a proactive and problem‑solving mindset, the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and multidisciplinary environment, and a high level of integrity and professionalism.
