Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare components for production in alignment with schedules and BOM requirements.
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, and issue of goods, ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Verify incoming deliveries correspond to the quality and quantity ordered, informing relevant departments of any shortages or rejected items.
- Packing of goods for dispatch/carrier booking which may include heavy lifting.
- Ensuring compliance with delivery procedures and that all documentation is collated and stored effectively.
- Systematic stock reconciliation.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, issues, and adjustments.
- Be highly organised and deliver on set objectives successfully and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of stores areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety elements in line with company policy.
- Support other departments when required.
Qualifications and Experience – Required
- Experience in a production control or stores‑based role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Current clean driving licence.
- Strong understanding of inventory systems (MRP/ERP) and stock control procedures.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced and changing environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items within the bounds of safe working practices.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
- Good team working skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work flexibly to support the needs of the business.
Qualifications and Experience – Desirable
- Teletruk Fork‑lift licence. Training will be provided.
- Experience in defence or other highly regulated industry.
Working Conditions
- Warehouse storage facility – Full time.
- Working 8.5 hour days (including an hourly lunch break) to cover operational hours of 7.30am–6pm.
- May require occasional overtime during peak periods.
Security Requirements
Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum Existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with Security Check likely for specific projects.
