Engineering Manager – DV Cleared – Infrastructure
Overview
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of complex facility and infrastructure design solutions within a highly regulated environment who operate at an enterprise level. Our client is offering a day rate of £470 PD to be based onsite in Reading 3 x PW (possible flex). Please only apply if you have DV clearance.
This role will act as the lead engineering authority, ensuring solutions are safe, compliant, and deliverable, while aligning to long-term operational performance. You will play a key role across the full project lifecycle, from early design through to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering delivery across projects, accountable for quality, safety, cost, and schedule
- Ensure engineering requirements are clearly defined and aligned to business objectives
- Deliver integrated facility designs, including safety and compliance documentation
- Maintain design intent and configuration control from inception through to handover
- Provide input into programme planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Conduct design reviews and ensure readiness across all lifecycle phases
- Act as the primary engineering point of contact for stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement across engineering standards and capability
- Support the development of engineering best practice and team capability
Essential Experience (Must Have)
- Proven experience leading within a project delivery environment
- Strong knowledge of production systems and process/partner equipment
- Experience in the design and integration of systems into new facilities
- Solid electrical engineering understanding
- Broad multidisciplinary engineering background (mechanical, electrical, systems, etc.)
- Experience within highly regulated environments (e.g. defence, nuclear, infrastructure)
