About The Role
We are looking for part-time Support Workers who care about making every moment matter for the people we support. We support people with learning disabilities in our supported living services in Llanelli.
Job title: Support Worker/Carer
Hours: 16 hours per week, working across day and night shifts on a rota basis
Shifts cover: Days & nights
Location: Llanelli (SA14 & SA15 areas)

About you
Are you enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to supporting people in a way which respects their dignity?
- You will need to be adaptable, flexible, with excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of our team.
- Work with service users with learning disabilities / Autism / complex needs
- Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 2 in Health & Social Care

The role
- Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
- Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
- Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
- General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
- As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.

About The Service
Swanton Care and Community West and South Wales provide support to 10 supported living homes, all of which are individual, and have different needs of support.
Each house supports people with challenging health needs such as mental health, autism, ADHD, and complex needs.
