We’re looking for a reliable, calm and proactive Waking Night Support Worker to join our team in Trowbridge (BA14). You will support three gentlemen aged 30s‑60s with mild learning disabilities and epilepsy. This is a weekend‑only waking night role, where your support plays a vital part in ensuring people feel safe, comfortable and reassured throughout the night.
Who the gentlemen are
- They are sociable and active and enjoy getting out into the community and socialising.
- They like visiting friends and exploring new places.
- They relax with food, TV and shared downtime.
- They have fun, laugh and build strong relationships with staff.
Key responsibilities (Waking Nights)
- Remain awake and alert throughout the shift, providing essential overnight support.
- Carry out regular safety and wellbeing checks.
- Support personal care needs when required.
- Administer medication in line with training.
- Provide reassurance and maintain a calm environment.
- Respond to any needs or changes overnight.
- Complete accurate records and handovers for day staff.
Shift patterns
- Saturday: 10:00 pm – 7:00 am
- Sunday: 10:00 pm – 7:00 am
