Job Description

The Assistant Accountant will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with day-to-day finance operations while reporting directly to the Corporate Accountant. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated individual looking to develop their accounting experience within a dynamic and fast-paced international business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding by entity and cost centre.
  • Assist with the supplier invoice approval process.
  • Review and process employee expense claims.
  • Raise customer invoices and credit notes.
  • Assist in preparing aged debtor and creditor reports and follow up on outstanding balances.

Payments & Reconciliations

  • Prepare weekly supplier payment runs for approval.
  • Assist with posting journals including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Work Experience

  • Previous experience in a finance, accounting role is desirable but not essential.
  • Suitable for recent graduates or candidates starting their accounting career.
  • Exposure to finance processes such as invoice processing, reconciliations, or expense management would be beneficial.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
