As a STEM Tutor, you will support autistic students with their academic and personal development, while gaining invaluable experience.
This STEM Tutor role is ideal for someone with a strong Maths and Science background who is passionate about helping neurodivergent young people thrive.
The Role | STEM Tutor
- Work as a STEM Tutor supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), including those with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profiles.
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group Maths and Science interventions.
- Adapt learning strategies to meet individual needs and promote engagement.
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence, and progress.
- Collaborate with specialist SEND staff, teachers, and families.
STEM Tutor | Requirements
- A degree in a STEM‑related subject from a leading university.
- Strong A‑Level results, ideally A* or A in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related STEM discipline.
- A genuine interest in autism, neurodiversity and SEND.
- Patient, kind, and emotionally intelligent, with a calm and nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
