£42 per hour + £100 weekly allowance

• Working Pattern: 3 days per week office-based
• Required: Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience

About the Role

Swindon is recruiting Experienced Social Workers to join its Family Safeguarding Service. You will work within a supportive POD structure, consisting of 5 Social Workers and 1 Team Manager, designed to enhance collaboration, oversight, and professional support.

This is a fast‑paced and rewarding role where you will work with children and families to deliver high‑quality safeguarding interventions, ensuring positive and lasting outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive assessments, including parenting assessments, to inform outcome‑focused care planning.
• Develop and implement effective care plans for children and their families.
• Manage and progress care proceedings (both private and public law) within court timescales.
• Work towards achieving permanency for children, including adoption where appropriate.
• Assess and respond to complex risks, ensuring safeguarding is always prioritised.
• Maintain high‑quality case recordings, evidencing clear analysis of interventions and outcomes.
